Uttama Lahiri
Professor

Dr. Uttama Lahiri is a faculty at Electrical Engineering with research interests in Virtual Reality based Human Computer Interaction used in affective computing, Eye Tracking and Physiology based modeling techniques, Human Robot Interaction used in cognitive studies, Adaptive Intelligent techniques in cognitive research, Robot assisted surgical techniques. She has PhD from Vanderbilt University, USA and MTech from IIT Kharagpur. She loves to work on application oriented projects and solutions for individuals with special needs and rehabilitation platforms for the elderly. She has established Sarita G Gelot Laboratory for Intelligent Rehabilitation and Affective Computing Systemsat IIT Gandhinagar. Her Lab has graduated many PhD students who are in different roles across the globe. She enjoys teaching both fundamental and advanced technical concepts of engineering to the undergraduate and the graduate students.
